Projects & Research

AURA (AI Unified Research Atlas) is an AI-powered research atlas that transforms NASA’s massive space-life-science archives — over 200,000 pages, 6,000 tasks, and 500+ experiments — into instant, audience-tailored insights.

Built with a Retrieval-Augmented-Generation (RAG 2.0) architecture, AURA unifies four major NASA repositories (OSDR, NSLSL, Task Book, and PubMed) and presents findings at four comprehension levels — from kids and students to scientists and managers — across five languages.

Its Knowledge-Gap Radar identifies underexplored topics (like plant radiation tolerance), while ROI analytics spotlight commercial opportunities in the $1.2–3.5B microgravity pharma sector.

AstroTriage is an AI-powered medical triage system designed to protect astronauts during long-duration space missions where communication with Earth is delayed or unavailable. Using a dual-engine architecture that combines a rule-based system for safety-critical, explainable decisions with a machine learning engine for adaptive, data-driven analysis, AstroTriage autonomously assesses medical emergencies and provides reliable, real-time guidance. The system achieves 100% rule-based coverage, 88–91% machine learning accuracy, and sub-250 ms response times with less than 0.4% error. Fully operational offline and optimized for accessibility across devices, AstroTriage meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards and ensures rapid, dependable medical support for astronauts in isolated or resource-limited environments—advancing autonomous healthcare beyond Earth.
